Step 1: Print, Prep, and Plunge

Print all FPP patterns at 100% scale. Use lightweight newsprint paper so you don't accidentally rip your stitches out when tearing it away later.

Gather your glorious pile of vibrant, textured fabrics, install a fresh rotary blade, and clear off your cutting mat.

Step 2: Finning the Fighter

Cut your pieces according to the templates. Label everything. If you mix up a crimson tail sliver with a piece of the teal water, your fish is going to look deeply confused.

Sew along the lines. Trust the lines. Breathe through the tiny, sliver-thin points of the gills and tail.

Step 3: Assembling the Aquarium

Sew your completed blocks together row by row, marveling as an intensely detailed, starkly contrasting fish magically swims onto your workspace.

Press your seams like your life depends on it. Flat fish swim better.
