Those suggestions are based on a computer calculating the average hex codes of the image, and a computer does not possess the chaotic, brilliant, creative mind of a quilter.

Step 1: Print, Prep, and Pet

Print all FPP patterns at 100% scale. Use lightweight newsprint paper so you don't accidentally rip your stitches out when tearing it away later.

Gather your glorious pile of vibrant, textured fabrics, install a fresh rotary blade, and clear off your cutting mat.

Step 2: Piecing the Professor

Cut your pieces according to the templates. Label everything. If you mix up a tiny orange ear sliver with a piece of the grey couch, your cat is going to look deeply confused.
