PATTERN FEATURES

Level: "Hold My Seam Ripper" (Confident Intermediate to Advanced). You should probably know your way around an FPP template before attempting to build a furry, polygonal mammal while a shifty rodent watches.

Technique: Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP).

Fabric Friendly: Perfect for playing with solid greys and texturals, and completely decimating your earthy neutral and green scrap collections.

Step 1: Print and Prepare

Print all FPP patterns at 100% scale. Use lightweight newsprint paper so you don't accidentally pull your stitches out later.

Gather your fabrics, a fresh rotary blade, and a caffeinated beverage of your choice.

Step 2: Be the Furrier/Trash Technician

Cut your pieces according to the templates. Label everything. If you mix up Jimothy's tail segments with the lower green hills, your raccoon is going to look like it's wearing a very geometric skirt.

Sew along the lines. Trust the lines. The lines are your only friends now.

Step 3: Assemble the Chase (and the Hills)

Sew your completed blocks together row by row, marveling as a dynamic, two-ton fuzzy rodent magically appears on your cutting mat. (Note: He is not actual furry, it is an optical illusion, please do not pet him).

Step 4: Final Inspection & Removal
